PERMACULTURE

SOLUTIONS FOR GROWING AND LIVING

You could be forgiven for thinking that Permaculture is all about organic gardening - but it is way more than that!

Permaculture is a method of design that can be applied to landscapes, living spaces, individuals, communities and indeed large cities.

To really get a good understanding, the Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC), is a very effective way of learning to design permaculture solutions. Broken into modules, the course will give you the skills to turn your garden and living space into a productive, sustainable ecosystem!

All workshops are suitable for beginners or those with previous knowledge.

PERMACULTURE

Paula and Ian, through their International work have seen first hand the value that permaculture can bring to individuals and communities around the world.

One of the permaculture ethics is to 'share the surplus' and that doesn't only apply to sharing a glut of tomatoes! They practice this ethic by sharing their skills, and making sure that it is as affordable as possible for everyone.

Bouddi Permaculture offers a Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) which we deliver via a series of practical and fun workshops that we call Solutions for Living and Growing.

Beginners might like to start with the Introduction to Permaculture weekend. Two full day workshops full of practical learning.

Those wanting to learn more will enjoy our series of 7 workshops which includes

  • 7 full day workshops full of practical learning

  • textbook

  • all notes and required learning materials (seeds, plant material etc)

For those who would like to complete their Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) - an internationally recognised accreditation - a further two full days of workshops will be offered to complete an individual permaculture design and a group design.

This extended course includes

  • 7 full day workshops full of practical learning

Paula is an established international trainer with over a decade's experience training permaculture to communities that are impacted by mass migration, climate change and conflict. She has worked with communities in Uganda, the Solomon Islands, Iraq and Indonesia.

She is driven to empower communities to build resilience and to adapt to a changing planet. She is an expert in building regenerative communities and is currently training communities that were impacted by the Black Summer  19/20 Fires.

ANNA

Anna completed her PDC in April 2019 and has since become immersed in permaculture and community building projects.

Her residence and abundant garden at Killcare provides a great example of permaculture in practice. Anna has skills in creating and adapting business models that are socially responsible and environmentally ethical.

She shares her productive garden with her two daughters, Emily and Holly, husband Bob and their cattle dog called 'Red'.  On Wednesdays Anna runs the Permie Kids program in Killcare.

Nick

Great course facilitation by Anna and Paula and you get to meet lots of really nice people. The best things about the course are how much sense it all makes, it can be applied easily anywhere (even in an apartment) and it's really interesting and fun. It's made me realise the interconnectedness of every aspect of life and that it's up to you to make a difference in small ways rather than being depressed about the state of things. Putting the principles into practice is really fun and you don't need much space or money to do it. Seeing your garden grow and eating the nicest food is just the best!
